As any yeast infection sufferer will tell you, the burning and itching sensations are particularly frustrating. Even after undergoing treatment, these symptoms can persist for a while. Use cold washcloths, sitz baths and ice packs to soothe the area. Avoid scratching.

Your eating habits may contribute to yeast infections. Foods that are high in sugar are often to blame as they procure the breeding and multiplication of the needed bacteria. If you find that what you are eating is indeed contributing to yeast infection, eat more nuts, vegetables and fruits instead. If you want quick relief from yeast infections, drink a lot of water. This can help to get rid of the free radicals in your body so that your immune system can function more efficiently.

Take a warm bath at night and add two cups of cider vinegar to the bath water. Vinegar can balance your natural pH levels and hinder yeast growth. Don’t stay in the tub for too long. If you prefer to douche, mix 3 tbsp. of cider vinegar with one quart of water.
